National 10k Medals for Tullamore Harriers
Despite blustery winds and wintery conditions, the annual Great Ireland Run, held on Sunday 14th April, was again a very successful event with over 3000 finishers. Hosted by Dublin City Harriers and Athletics Ireland and taking in a new route through the Phoenix Park, there were over 1200 club runners competing for National medals and team places in the National 10k Championships. Tullamore Harriers claimed 3 national medals this year. Congratulations to Johnny Feery who took gold in the Men o60 age group, Mary Galvin who took bronze in the ladies o60 age group, and Jim Langan who took the silver in the Men o75 age group. Well done to all our other athletes who lined out to represent the club. This race traditionally is a very popular club day out and this year was no different, with some great times posted on the challenging course.
