Liam Brady made his debut on an indoor track when he competed in the 3,000m at the Irish Universities Championships in Nenagh on Saturday. Representing Dublin Institute of Technology, Liam lined up in the 3,000m and after sitting in behind the leader for the first 1,000m in 2.55, he took the lead which he held for the next 900m. Liam dropped back to fourth place with 400m to go but he then put in a massive finish as he sprinted past his rivals in the final 200m to take a well deserved silver medal in a new PB of 8:43.06, an improvement of 12 seconds on his previous best.
